BBC World News will launch its international HD channel on Arabsat on August 5.
Arabsat will be the BBC’s first distribution partner in the Middle East to offer the news channel in HD.
In January, BBC World News’ unveiled its new look, following a re-launch from the heart of the BBC Newsroom at Broadcasting House in central London. nd Yemen.

BBC World News also signed an agreement with Telemar Scandinavia and NSSLGlobal to make news bulletins available on their commercial vessels. BBC World News will be broadcast several times daily, to all vessels that opt into the service.
Customers using Telemar and NSSLGlobal’s Ku- or C-Band network will be able to watch BBC World News’ daily bulletins without impacting on high broadband speeds through the use of the Multicast service.
