Slovakia’s Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission (RVR) has awarded MAC TV, the operator of the national commercial station Joj, a licence for what will be its fourth channel.
Known as Senzi TV, it will begin test transmissions on August 1 and make its full debut a month later.
Local reports say Senzi TV will be similar to the Czech station Slagr TV and target viewers aged 40+ with a mix of music including folk, classical and Balkan.
On air for 24 hours daily, it will reach and audience not currently served by the company’s three other channels, Joj, Plus and Wau.
