The new DTH platform launched earlier this month by Orange in Romania is meeting the market’s need for quality video.
Speaking to Broadband TV News, Mirek Smyk, the founder and head of MSCG, which has been supporting the launch, said that the platform offers more channels (100) and in HD (40) than any other on its debut.
It is also providing viewers with access to around 29/30 channels via PCs. The service provides three main packages, with the most comprehensive offering 95 channels, of which 37 are in HD, for €5, €8 and €12 a month including VAT, and with discounts available for Orange customers.
Following the launch of the service, Romania now has five DTH platforms.
