All thematic satellite channels broadcasting via Eutelsat are invited to submit their applications for The Eutelsat TV Awards 2013, the only satellite TV contest in Europe, which celebrates its 15th edition.
All nominated channels will be invited to Venice on November 15 for the Night of Satellites, the most glamorous broadcasting event for TV channels worldwide.
The prize, created in 1998 by Eutelsat, is an annual event promoting the finest broadcasting in the satellite thematic landscape, distinguishing excellence and innovation.
Broadcasters can submit their entry via a dedicated website. They can register as many channels as they like.
The shortlist of nominees is selected by an independent panel of media experts: their selection is made upon knowledge of the channels and after viewing the sample material prepared by the channels and their live programming. They meet approximately two months in advance of the Awards to evaluate the quality of production and originality of programming and assign three nominations per category. Broadband TV News’s Robert Briel will take part in this year’s jury for the Awards.
