Vectra opts for Motorola

June 13, 2013 11.32 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Vectra manThe Polish cable operator Vectra has introduced a receiver manufactured exclusively for it by Motorola.

According to the company, the HD HMC30121 is much smaller than the high quality HD receivers it has until now sourced from ADB.

It also has a simpler menu and is adapted for future additional services, such as VOD, that Vectra plans to introduce.

Vectra says that it has no plans at present to exchange its existing receivers for the HD HMC30121, but subscribers can request it.

It adds that the cost of viewing its HD offer will remain unchanged at PLN15 (€3.5) a month.

Vectra is the third largest cable operator in Poland after UPC Polska and Multimedia Polska, claiming a total of 860,000 subscribers in 167 cities.

Of these, 490,000 receive its digital TV services.
