Cirkus gives Com Hem a taste of the UK

sherlock-watsonVideo on demand subscription service Cirkus has struck a multi-year distribution with Sweden’s biggest cable operator, Com Hem.

Starting in the autumn Cirkus will be made available to Com Hem customers both as a standalone service and bundled with other customers.

Cirkus features iconic British TV series from BBC Worldwide, ITV, All3Media and other major independent producers. Its programmes are available in a ‘box set’ format. Programmes on offer include Sherlock, Lewis, Skins, Silent Witness, Accused and Poirot as well as many others.

Cirkus, founded last year by two well-known British television executives, Hugh Williams and Mark Bradford. It plans plan is to secure distribution in the Scandinavian market before moving onto other international territories.

“We have developed a unique service based on the very best of what British television has to offer, presented to viewers in a way they increasingly like to consume content. We are very confident that Com Hem subscribers will develop a strong following and loyalty to Cirkus,” says Bradford.

Cirkus will also be a part of Com Hem’s TiVo service, launching later this year.
