Belgian OTT provider WeepeeTV is adding all three NPO-channels (Nederland 1, Nederland 2 and Nederland 3) for all Belgian customers, as part of its basic offer.
Andrew Turner, CEO of Weepee New Media Ventures: “As Belgians, most of us grew up watching Dutch public broadcasters. They are part of our shared culture and many of our customers wanted to watch them via WeepeeTV.”
Weepee is a Belgian OTT and video specialist which has recently launched the OTT TV platform WeepeeTV in Belgium, which streams the main Belgian TV channels as well as BBC channels to connected devices. Now, the three Dutch public broadcasters are also part of the offer, which starts at EUR10 a month.
Last May, Turner told Elsevier Magazine that the operator is looking to launch its service in the Netherlands. Just recently, Surinam TV channel SunRTV also said it had selected Weepee OTT TV platform for distribution of its channel in Holland.
