Satellite operator SES has closed its marketing office for the Astra satellites in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
Until the closure, SES maintained two offices in the country. After the acquisition of New Skies Satellites, the company also took over the NSS headquarter in The Hague, while at the same time maintaining a separate marketing office in Hilversum.
The operator has issued no statement about the closure, but Broadband TV News has learned that Bill Wijdeveld, managing director, Astra Benelux, and Remko Klein, sales and marketing manager, will leave the company.
Diane van Lambalgen, office and marketing coordinator, will relocate to the The Hague office.
SES did not comment on the decision to close down the office.
