Russia’s MTS ended the first quarter with 2,885,000 subscribers to its pay-TV services, a 1.8% reduction of the total three months earlier.
Its broadband internet subscriber total was meanwhile 2,314,000 and described as “stable”, with both figures having been retrospectively restated due to reclassification of subscribers of acquired companies with those of MTS.
Total group revenues in Q1 amounted to R92.9 billion (€1.85 billion), just R1.8 billion more than a year earlier but R5.8 billion down on the total in Q4 2012.
Net income in Q1 stood at R13 billion, compared to R15.6 and R17 billion a year and three months earlier respectively and was impacted by a foreign currency loss of R1.5 billion.
