Chello CEE signs Power agreement

June 10, 2013 11.23 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Film ManiaChello Central Europe has extended its cooperation with the UK independent producer and distributor Power by licensing over 200 hours of first run and library drama.

The deal consists of two packages, namely movies and mini series, which will air on the Film Mania channel in Hungary and Film Café channel in Romania and Hungary respectively.

Commenting on the agreement, Katalin Radóczy, Chello Central Europe’s chief programming officer, said: “It is a great pleasure to build on our existing collaboration with Power. We are excited about the addition of Neverland, Treasure Island and many other high-end exclusive contents to our film portfolio. We are confident this large variety of programs complementing our line-up of quality TV productions will resonate well with our viewers.”

Steve Turney, Power’s VP sales & acquisitions added: “Power’s relationship with Chello Central Europe continues to flourish and deliver for both parties. Power’s portfolio contains a huge volume of the kind of independently produced, high quality dramas that set Chellomedia’s channels apart from the competition and which their viewers have come to expect.”
