SBS Belgium taps Xstream for OTT delivery

SBS Belgium, has selected Xstream’s video management system, MediaMaker, for its new OTT video service on web and mobile devices.

Due for rollout later this year, SBS Belgium’s new offering will include ingest module securing an automated ingest workflow, Subscription based video-on-demand (SVOD) and Transaction based video-on-demand (TVOD) solution, encrypted with Widevine DRM.

“As a pioneer in OTT and TV Everywhere solutions, Xstream is a natural partner for us “said Nicolas Declercq, manager interactive media, at SBS Belgium. “We chose Xstream as our partner because of their long and proven experience of OTT delivery Furthermore, MediaMaker is one of the most complete end-to-end OTT platforms we’ve seen in the market, including everything one need to create a complete OTT solution like an in-built Shop and payment module, DRM, ingest module and a remarkable flexibility enabling us to integrate any third party systems to MediaMaker”

Xstream are to deliver a MediaMaker solution including Ingest module, Shop and Payment module and Widevine DRM to SBS Belgium. It’s a VOD solution for web and for mobile devices (android and iOS)
