Croatia ended the first quarter with 371,459 subscribers to IPTV services, or 7.35% more than a year earlier, according to data published by the regulator HAKOM.
Although the number of DTH subscribers in the same period rose by 12.46% to 113,529, the cable take-up decreased by 0.49% to 147,012.
However, the latter figure was tempered by the fact that cable TV homes increased by 1.13% q-o-q in the first quarter. Pay-DTT services have just been introduced in Croatia and were received in 10,770 at the end of Q1.
However, the number of digital terrestrial homes fell by 5.33% to 852,938 in the year to March 31. Significantly, despite a difficult economic and regulatory climate, revenues from TV services continue to grow in Croatia.
In Q1 they amounted to HRK127,879,550 (€16,730,700) or 11.97% more than in the same period last year.
