Telekom Srbija has gained at least 25,000 IPTV subscribers in the first five months of this year and now has just over 200,000.
The company’s latest annual report says that it ended 2012 with 175,000 IPTV customers, or 48.3% more than a year earlier.
However, the number increased to 200,000 as of the end of last week. Significantly, the telco also had 16,000 web TV subscribers as of the end of 2012, or 23.1% more than a year earlier. The latter, launched in October 2011, gives viewers access to a variety of video content from the internet.
ARPU for Telekom Srbija’s IPTV service, which is branded Open TV, in 2012 was RSD699 (€6.27), compared to RSD670 a year earlier.
According to the annual report, Serbia Broadband (SBB) remains the country’s leading distributor of media (TV) content, claiming a market share of over 50%.
