ANGA COM to show the Connected Media Home of tomorrow

ANGA COM conferenceANGA COM, Europe‘s leading Exhibition and Congress for Broadband, Cable & Satellite, will start with 450 exhibitors from 36 countries next Tuesday, June 4.

With this, the event hits last year’s record numbers. ANGA COM will take place from June 4-6, 2013 in Cologne, Germany.

“We are excited about the high level of demand for space, especially from new exhibitors,” said ANGA´s Managing Director Dr. Peter Charissé. “Our updated brand ANGA COM and our optimised focus on Broadband, Content Delivery, Smart TV, Video on Demand and Multiscreen have been well received. Visitors can expect a wide view at the ‘Connected Media Home‘ of tomorrow.“

The congress programme offers 18 expert panels altogether and four top-class summit events: the TV Summit, the Broadband Summit, the English-language International Technology Summit and the new Connected Home Summit. At the TV Summit Conrad Albert (ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG), Dr. Andreas Bereczky (ZDF), Michael T. Fries (Liberty Global), Dr. Adrian von Hammerstein (Kabel Deutschland), Dietmar Schickel (Tele Columbus), Brian Sullivan (Sky Deutschland) and Prof. Dr. Karola Wille (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk) discuss under the headline “Networks and Content: Who pays the Bill?”.

At the following Broadband Summit Wilhelm Dresselhaus (Alcatel-Lucent Deutschland), Thomas Ellerbeck (Vodafone Deutschland), Dr. Iris Henseler-Unger (Federal Network Agency), Jean-François Leprince-Ringuet (Eutelsat), Lutz Schüler (Unitymedia KabelBW), Theo Weirich (wilhelm.tel) and Dr. Dirk Wössner (Telekom Deutschland) attend to the up-to-date question “Growing Bandwidths, falling Prices: With how much Competition can a Market cope?”. Therewith the discussion focuses on exactly the strategic topics that keep the broadband sector busy at the moment.

Speakers of the English-language podium discussion International Technology Summit Fibre vs. LTE: Potentials and Borderlines are Nick Fielibert (Cisco), Lorenz Glatz (Kabel Deutschland), Daniel Howard (SCTE USA), Bruce McClelland (Arris), Hanno Narjus (Teleste) Mads Arnbjøn Rasmussen (YouSee) and Dr. Giles Wilson (Ericsson). The session is chaired by Broadband TV News’ Julian Clover.

Thursday is summarised under the heading Connected Home Special and is organized in cooperation with the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM). It includes 7 panels, thereof 3 in English language. Highlight of this day is the top-class Connected Home Summit with Dirk Brameier (EWE TEL), Thomas Braun (ANGA e.V.), Christian P. Illek (Microsoft), Jens Redmer (Google), Dr. André Schneider (Samsung), Volker Smid (Hewlett Packard and Vice President BITKOM) and Martin Wiegmann (Cisco).

Tickets for the exhibition cost 22.00 Euros for 3 days. Congress tickets start at 100.00 Euros. Tickets for the exhibition and the congress can be ordered at www.angacom.de.
