Rönsch appointed new MD of Studio Hamburg

Christian RoenschEffective as of 1 June 2013, Christian Rönsch will be taking over the post of general manager of Studio Hamburg Enterprises GmbH.

“Thanks to Christian Rönsch’s experience of many years in leading positions in the home-entertainment branch, he will be focusing on providing new impulses, especially in distribution and marketing, but also in the strategic direction of the firm,” says Peter Thiem, general manager of Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing.

“We are very pleased to welcome such a versatile and knowledgeable manager as Christian Rönsch. He is unquestionably our absolute ideal candidate for this important position,” adds Dr. Alexander Coridass, President and CEO of ZDF Enterprises.

Studio Hamburg Enterprises GmbH is a joint undertaking of Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing and ZDF Enterprises. The object of the company is the acquisition of feature film and TV licenses as well as their exploitation, especially in the DVD/Blu-ray disc domain.

In the past five years, Rönsch was responsible for the FilmConfect AG as CEO and for the FilmConfect Home Entertainment GmbH as managing director.He previously worked as sales director at in2movies GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture of Bertelsmann/arvato and Warner Bros. Further stations in his career were Warner Home Video Germany and BMG Video/Universum Film GmbH.
