RTL Deutschland has launched apps for RTL II Now and Vox Now with a monthly subscription fee.
The apps allow live streaming as well as catch-up programming up to seven days after the original broadcast. A number of selected programmes will be available up to 30 days.
After a free-of-charge test period, a monthly subscription fee of EUR1.79 will be due, EUR8.99 for sic months or EUR15.99 for a full year.
The apps will also offer older programmes on-demand against a fee.
