The Czech Telecom Office (CTU) has imposed fines of CZK20 million (€772,000) each on the M7 Group and UPC DTH, operators of the DTH platforms Skylink/CS Link and freeSAT respectively.
In a statement, the regulator says that the companies, both of which are based in Luxembourg, committed an administrative offence within the terms of the Electronic Communications Act.
The CTU also says that both companies have appealed against the decision, so that it has not yet become effective.
