The Belgian OTT streaming live TV provider Weepee TV is looking to enter the Dutch television market.
Talking to Elsevier magazine, Weepee Telecom founder Andrew Turner said he is now negotiating with a large Dutch supermarket chain to distribute its products in the Netherlands.
The new service would compete head on with all current cable, satellite DTH, DTT and IPTV providers.
Weepee is a Belgian OTT and video specialist which has recently launched a OTT TV platform WeepeeTV in Belgium, which streams the main Belgian TV channels as well as BBC channels to connected devices.
Subscriptions start at €10 a month for a bouquet of 15 channels The first five TV channels are always part of the package and include the three main VRT public channels as well as two private channels from VTM.
Subscribers can choose ten more channels from 19 additional channels including BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Entertainment, various local and private Belgian broadcasters as well as thematic channels including kids channel Pebble TV, Al Jazeera and others.
