TV Nova’s on demand service Voyo has now has 26,500 subscribers in the Czech Republic.
Furthermore, the titles in its library have been viewed a total of 10 million times.
Voyo’s library consists of more than 1,800 films and series, made either in the Czech Republic or abroad, and has tripled in size in the last year.
The majority of titles are produced by TV Nova and in many instances from its archives.
However, they also include Hollywood hits and independent movies, and subscribers can in addition access the proprietary channel Voyo Cinema, offering both linear and VOD content as well as the pay channel Nova Sport, including live broadcasts and archives of major sporting events.
Voyo also offers exclusive content such as the reality show SuperStar, as well as a growing selection of foreign series.
According to Petr Horak, director of paid services at the Nova Group, Voyo’s subscribers are most interested in TV series produced by Nova.
However, the service will now focus on offering segments of foreign soap operas in their original language with subtitles.
