The French travel channel Liberty TV is to close its TV channel on the Astra satellite as well as on all French IPTV platforms.
According to a message from CanalSat, the channel will cease broadcasting. At the same time, distribution via the Numéricable cablenet and the IPTV platforms of Alice, Bouygues Telecom, Free and Orange is terminated.
Liberty TV is a channel showing destination videos and sells holidays via the TV channel as well as via its website. The decision to close the TV broadcasts was apparently taken in order to save costs. The future of the related travel website is unknown.
