ZON recorded a record quarter of additions to its next generation IRIS platform. The 50,000 posted was the best since the product’s launch and takes the number of subscribers signed to the service to 285,000.
The Portuguese operator now has 781,500 customers for its Triple Play services, an increase of 9.2% and representing 64.6% of cable customers.
Sequential quarterly growth of 0.9% was recorded across pay-TV, broadband and voice, easing the year-on-year decline to 1.8%. However, there remains continued pressure on premium subscription revenue, though the decline slowed in the first quarter by -11.5% compared to 13.8% in Q4 12.
Revenues of €214.13 million were slightly ahead of the 2012 number.
