Anacom has called on PT Comunicações to clarify information on its DTT information website.
The regulator is concerned that consumers have been purchasing equipment in areas where DTT reception is poor where they would qualify for a package that would enable reception of free-to-air channels over satellite.
Anacom says it should be made clear that anyone who has erroneously paid the full price is entitled to a refund, a matter that should be proactively promoted by PT Comunicações through to June 30, 2013.
The price of the satellite kit is based in the average cost of a DTT package over the last six months, currently €30, and covers the cost of two receivers.
