Viewster announces senior hires

April 29, 2013 08.13 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Viewster has appointmented Helen Biggart as CFO and Tzvetan Horozov as SVP of product management.

At the same time, the on-demand service has announced new office openings in New York, London, Singapore and Adelaide, to support international business development through regional representatives.

“With more viewers choosing to watch films and TV shows on-demand, we’re seeing a big shift in advertising spend away from linear TV,” said Kai Henniges, CEO, Viewster in a statement.

“To capitalise on this trend and the rising demand for our service worldwide, we are turbo-charging our international expansion with new office openings and a raft of regional hires in our key markets. We are also thrilled to have both Helen and Tzvetan on board as we undergo a period of very rapid and exciting growth worldwide.”

Earlier this month, Viewster announced more than 200 additions to its international online library, including the UK’s The Inbetweeners and Peep Show; SciFi’s Flash Gordon; At Home with Julia, one of Australia’s most popular scripted comedies; and American movies.
