The Bayerische Landesanstalt für Neue Medien has said that Euronews, home shopping Channel 21 and Regionalfernsehen Oberbayern will cease transmission in Munich and South Bavaria on May 31. Euronews, Channel 21 and Bibel TV will stop broadcasting in Nürnberg on the same date.
As previously announced, the four RTL channels, RTL, RTL 2, Vox and Super RTL, will leave the airwaves in the state on August 1. The shot-down was originally envisaged for May 31, but the broadcaster has decided to end the terrestrial broadcasts in Munich and South Bavaria at the end of July, 2013.
