Hungary’s fixed broadband market continues to be dominated by three companies, with T-Home (Magyar Telekom), UPC and Digi together accounting for around seven in 10 connections.
Data published by the regulator NMHH shows that as of this February T-Home claimed a 35% share of the market, followed by UPC with 21.9% and Digi with 13.7%.
Next up were Invitel (9.7%), Tarr (2.6%), PR-Telekom (2.2%), ViDaNet (1.9%), GTS-Hungary (0.9%) and Parisat (0.5%).
The number of subscriptions with bandwidth in excess of 30 Mbps meanwhile continues to grow, accounting for almost one in three (30.8%) of connections as of this February.
They were split between DOCSIS 3.0 (328,000) and FTTx (284,000). T-Home also continues to dominate the fixed voice market, with a 58.4% share as of this February.
UPC and Invitel were neck and neck in second and third places, with 13.2% and 13% respectively.
