Russia’s MTS ended Q4 2012 with 2,938,000 subscribers to its pay-TV services in the country.
Although this marked a 0.5% reduction on the figure 12 months earlier, it was due to what the company says was due to the “reclassification of subscribers of acquired companies with those of MTS.”
MTS also had 2,313,000 broadband internet subscribers at the end of 2012, or 4.2% more than a year earlier.
MTS’ total group revenue in 2012 amounted to $12,435.7 million (€9,615.7 million), up 1% on a year earlier, while its OIBDA rose by 3% to $5,300.1 million.
However, net income fell by 30% year-on-year due to the suspension of operations in Uzbekistan in July 2012.
