New Samsung smart TV app from Foxxum

March 15, 2013 10.45 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Foxxum, in partnership with Dailymotion, have released a brand new smart TV App this week. Initially launching on Samsung devices worldwide, the new smart TV app will be introducing consumers to a lean back way to interact with and navigate within Smart TV.

The new app allows users to access material they wish to consume from a collection of more than two billion options. “Finding relevant content that users want to see has never been easier: With features such as intelligent search function and sophisticated categorization of content, we are able to optimize for the highest level of personalization, which means you get the content you want faster and easier than ever before.”

Vincent Martin, VP distribution and business development at Dailymotion said: “We appreciate the strong business and technical know-how which Foxxum has contributed to achieving our higher goals. We now expect five times the traffic to the new app compared to our former smart TV app.

“As a result of the dedicated, long-term relationship between Foxxum and Dailymotion, we’ll be able to heavily penetrate the market and increase commercialisation by serving the smart TV platforms of LG,TiVo, and Philips in addition to the platforms already operated by Foxxum itself.

“In collaboration, Dailymotion and Foxxum are committed to achieving higher reach and increasing the traffic of the new Dailymotion app. We are convinced that the new app has the potential to be the next big thing within the smart TV landscape today.”

“Working together to ignite a greater reach and attain skyrocketing traffic of the new Dailymotion app, we expect that extended commercialization will be achieved. Work hard, play hard”, added Ronny Lutzi, CEO at Foxxum.
