February 28, 2013 10.32 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Sky DeutschlandSky Deutschland has eased its losses as the paycaster reported a significant expansion of HD and record satisfaction levels.

Subscriber levels climbed by 351,000 to 3,363,000 with Premium HD customers adding 56% to 1,514,000 in the year to December 31, 2012. Sky+ customers added 126% to arrive at 929,000, while the multiscreen Sky Go service recorded 33.3 million sessions, an increase of 335% year-on-year.

“In 2012 we delivered a strong performance driven by our sustained customer focus and the expanding depth and breadth of our offering. Key rights packages have also been renewed including live Bundesliga rights for the 2013/14 to 2016/17 seasons and coverage of the UEFA Europa League, the DFB-Pokal and the Austrian Bundesliga.

There have also been content agreements with Sony Pictures Television, NBC Universal Studios Networks, Warner Brothers, Constantin Film, Tele Mu?nchen, Splendid, Telepool, Tobis, ZDF Enterprises and Discovery Networks.
