Dutch cable operator Delta Kabelcomfort is moving 15 HD channels into its basic digital tier on March 1.
According to the operator, this represents a saving of €10.20 per month for the viewer. However, people need to have an MPEG-4 cable tuner in order to receive the HD bouquet. The operator also supports CI+.
A monthly subscription to basic costs €16.73, but the fee will be increased to €17.25 from April 1, 2013.
The three national public channels, Nederland 1, 2 and 3, as well as a number of private broadcasters, RTL4, RTL5, RTL7, RTL8, SBS6, Net 5, Veronica, Net5, Eurosport, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic and MTV HD, are included.
The operator serves 156,000 homes in the province of Zeeland.
