Sky Italia has launched its new dedicated Formula1 channel that adds interactive screens to the broadcaster’s coverage of the 2013 championship.
Sky Sport F1 HD will run some 30 hours of live coverage for each of the race days.
Building on its experience during London 2012, Sky Italia will also offer nine video options that includes the main live feed from Sky Sport F1 HD, three in board views to see the race from the driver’s perspective, a pit lane view, live timing, race tracker (a view if the position of each car on the circuit map at any time), race control (a four-screen channel with Sky Sport F1 HD, On Board, Live Timing and Race Tracker) as well as regularly updated highlights.
For the first time in Italy, the Barcelona F1 winter test scheduled between 28th February and 3rd March will be aired live in 3D on Sky 3D.
