Megamax launches on UPC Czech

February 15, 2013 07.55 Europe/London By Robert Briel

MegamaxChello Central Europe’s children’s channel Megamax has been added to the UPC platform in the Czech Republic.

Megamax’s launch in Czech Republic follows the channel’s debut in Hungary, Slovakia and Romania.

Targeted at boys aged 7-14 years, Megamax offers local-dubbed versions of animated content from around the globe, including Transformers, Gormiti, Battle Force, Lego Ninjago, Twisted Whiskers, Dex Hamilton, Iron Kid and Metajets.

“Megamax is currently enjoying popularity across Central Europe due to its popular line-up of stimulating and trusted quality programming. Megamax offers unrivalled access to some of the world’s best loved kids TV and we’re confident the channel will prove to be hugely popular with our new subscribers and families in Czech Republic”, said Aleš Fabík, country manager, Czech Republic, Chello Central Europe.

Megamax is broadcasting 15 hours a day between 7.00 and 22.00 with full Czech dubbing. The channel will be a part of UPC’s Komfort and Relax packages.
