This was 12% more than a year earlier and largely thanks to analogue switch off, which took place in the country last October.
The company also saw a more modest 3.7% increase in its internet subscriber total, which stood at 385,000 at the end of 2012.
TEO Group’s revenues in 2012 amounted to LTL760.2 million (€220 million), or 1.4% more than a year earlier, while profit rose by 3% to LTL159.1 million.
The company allocated around LTL120 million in active investment in its next generation fibre-optic and core networks in 2012 and as of year’s end FTTH internet access services were already available to 764,000 households, or 64% of Lithuania’s population.
Data published by the Communications Regulatory Authority meanwhile shows that TEO Group accounted for 43.3% of digital TV revenues in Lithuania in the third quarter.
“Last year was full of challenges for the entire telecommunications market. Nevertheless, it was a successful year for TEO. The direction chosen by us – to create added value of the services and increase their uniqueness – has proved successful. More and more customers appreciate this. So in the future we intend to focus on satisfaction of the needs of customers already using our services”, said Arunas Šikšta, general manager of TEO, said when commenting on the activity results.
