Russia crosses Motorola bridge

January 28, 2013 19.25 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Rostelecom and Beeline TV subscribers are now able to watch their favourite TV shows anywhere on the home, following the deployment of Motorola’s VAP2400 HD wireless video bridge.

Used in tandem with Motorola’s VIP2262E HD IP set-top the device streams content across the home in high definition quality.

“We are committed to giving our subscribers the very best TV viewing experience possible – without the need for complicated instructions, cumbersome hardware and lots of wires,” said Dmitry Lavrinenko, Head of IPTV at Vimpelcom. “Our customers tell us that they want to watch TV in a variety of places throughout the home,so this new set-top box and wireless bridge solution makes this possible and is very easy for customers to install. The VAP2400 also allows us to introduce a host of new IPTV services in a cost-effective way.”

According to the RosTelecom the Motorola VAP 2400 can be bought by customers in installments of up to 36 months.

Sean Kitchingham, Senior Director Sales, Northern & Central Europe at Motorola’s Home Division, said: “Motorola is committed to giving consumers the flexible and personalized viewing experiences they crave. We know that multiroom TV services are important and so this game-changing innovation removes a lot of the cost and complexity associated with delivering a great viewing experience everywhere.”

Motorola is currently demonstrating bridge and receiver at the CSTB expo in Moscow.
