The Belarusian incumbent Beltelecom is preparing to launch a pay-DTT service by the end of this quarter.
According to AKTR and freesmy, it will employ the country’s second and third multiplexes, which have been allocated entirely to commercial services, and offer viewers a total of 28 channels.
Furthermore, the new service will use the DVB-T2 standard and be priced on a comparable level to IPTV services.
Belarus’s first DTT multiplex currently distributes seven channels including Belarus 1, Belarus 2, ONT and STV.
