Spain’s broadband market continues to grow, with FTTH playing an increasingly important role.
Data published by the regulator CMT shows that the country gained an additional 86,296 broadband lines in November, with FTTH accounting for 21,680 (25%) of the total.
As a result, the number of FTTH connections at the end of the month stood at 309,692, with Telefónica accounting for the vast majority (300,597).
The total number of broadband connections in November stood at 11,521,836, or 3.8% more than a year earlier.
DSL accounted for 9,155,287 of the total and cable 2,056,857, with the figures growing by 2.9% and 0.2% respectively year-on-year.
