Weepee New Media has announced that Pascal Dormal, former CEO at Numericable Belux, will bolster its ranks.
Dormal will be an executive member of the management committee and in charge of mergers, acquisitions, growth, partnerships and financing. Weepee plans a rapid expansion of its activities in 2013 and is already gearing for a new capital increase over the next few months.
Weepee is a Belgian OTT and video specialist which has recently launched an OTT TV platform WeepeeTV in Belgium.
“Weepee is an exciting company which is uniquely positioned today in a booming market. Weepee can provide modular all-inclusive OTT and streaming solutions to operators, ISPs or channels,” said Pascal Dormal in a statement
“The realisation that broadband allows for video transport opens up new opportunities not sought about a few years ago. I will endeavor to make Weepee a world leader in this market. We have plans today to be present in several major European markets in partnership with large operators or retailers”.
Weepee provides end to end solutions for OTT TV platforms, digital signage solutions, video content distribution and internet streaming solutions to operators, channels and corporate customers throughout Europe. With its WeepeeTV platform, launched last December, Weepee launched one of the first OTT-only TV solutions in Europe.
