Content from the HBO will continue to be seen on the Orange Cinema Series (OCS) following a new deal.
The multi-year agreement was originally signed in 2008 and will allow Orange France to continue to premiere series from the US premium platform. Many of the shows, including Season 2 of Girls, Season 3 of Game of Thrones (pictured) and Season 6 of True Blood will get their French premiere just 24 hours after their US screening.
“HBO has been with OCS since the beginning. The respect and care given to our programming has been everything we could ask for from a partner. We could not be happier to continue this relationship and to have them serve as the home for our premieres in France” said Charles Schreger, president, programming sales, HBO.
Past seasons of shows including The Newsroom, Veep, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, The Sopranos and The Wire will be available on demand.
Serge Laroye, head of content at Orange and president of OCS, said the agreement reinforced its editorial promise.
“OCS is a unique service which boasts innovative services combined with rich, high-quality film and series. HBO series are must-watch events. They are central to OCS’ positioning and help enrich its offering. We are very pleased to be able to pursue our partnership with HBO and, with this agreement, bring it to another level.”
OCS runs a bouquet of five thematic channels. It is available on Canalsat, SFR, Parabole Réunion and Tahiti NUI.
