Channels including MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon will be added to BT Vision’s linear channel line-up following a new agreement with Viacom International Media Networks.
The new channels join BT Vision’s growing list of linear channels, which already includes Universal Channel, Syfy, E!, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Real Time, British Eurosport 1 and 2, FX, National Geographic, National Geographic WILD and UKTV’s Gold, Watch and Alibi.
However, there remains an absence of Sky-branded channels from the line-up, though BT Vision still carries ESPN, and has plans for two sports channels of its own. Sky News, Pick TV and Challenge are automatically available as terrestrial ‘Freeview’ channels.
MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon channels will be streamed on BT Vision, with some programmes available on-demand from early 2013.
