Dutch cable operator Ziggo has added 20 more live streamed channels to its TV app for tablets, bringing the total to 48 channels.
The new additions include VRT Ketnet, Journaal 24, Crime & Investigation Network and Discovery Science.
Customers who subscribe to the basic TV Standaard tier now have access to 27 channels, TV Plus customers have 36 and top-tier TV Extra offers 48 channels.
Every household can register up to five mobile devices, and viewers can watch live streaming TV on up to three devices simultaneously.
The Ziggo TV app is available on iPad 1, 2 and 3, iPad mini, thee iPhone 3 GS of higher and the iPod Touch from the 3rd generation, with iOS 4.3 of higher. The Android version works on smartphones with Android 2.3 or higher and tablets with Android 3.0 or higher.
The live streams offer a good quality with 800 kbps to 1.5 Mbps for tablets and from 200 to 800 kbps for smartphones.
