Chellomedia Benelux has appointed Will Moerer to the newly created position of VP, Sport1/Film1, marking a reshuffle of the broadcaster’s management structure.
Moerer will direct the operational, commercial and strategic activities of both channel muxes.
Chellomedia has joined the organisations of its two premium channels, Film1 and Sport1 into a single unit. Until now, both channels had its own marketing and sales forces.
Film1 consists of seven thematic movie channels, Film1 Premiere, Film1 Action, Film1 Family, Film1 Sundance and Film1 Series, plus two HD versions.
Sport1 has four 24 hour sports channels, including dedicated channels for football, golf and tennis, as well as two additional live channels for occasional use.
Both Film1 and Sport1 also have an on-demand service, while Film1 Go will soon be launched.
