The Polish public broadcaster TVP has secured satellite licences for two more thematic channels from the country’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT).
However, there is as yet no indication when the two channels – entertainment-based TVP Rozrywka and TVP Dokument, which will offer documentaries – will make their debuts despite TVP’s president Juliusz Braun earlier indicating that it could be at the end of this year or in early 2013.
TVP has a growing portfolio of thematic channels that includes TVP Kultura, TVP Sport and TVP Historia.
Once up and running, TVP Rozrywka and TVP Dokument will mostly show content sourced from TVP’s own archives.
