Ofcom has fined E! Entertainment UK Limited £40,000 (€49,847) after the broadcaster screen consecutive episodes of Girls of the Playboy Mansion before the 9pm watershed.
E! screened the episodes as part of a themed day of programming on December 27 last year.
The regulator said the content of these episodes included material which was unsuitable for pre-watershed broadcast and the episodes were broadcast during the Christmas holiday period, when it was likely that children – some unaccompanied by an adult – would have been watching.
E! had previously been found in breach on two earlier programmes that were unsuitable due to offensive language.
