The Turkish DTH platform D-Smart saw its pay-TV subscriber total grow by 49% to 815,000 in the year to September 30.
Its free TV viewer total meanwhile amounted to 819,000, giving it a combined total of 1,634,000 active users.
D-Smart is part of the Dogan Group and contributed to the latter’s subscription broadcasting revenues growing by 59% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2012 to TL205 million (€89.2 million).
It competes in a pay-TV market also served by Digitürk, the cable network Teledünya and TTNET’s Tivibu.
