The number of cable TV subscribers in Ukraine stood at 3.63 million as of the beginning of this quarter.
Of these, according to data produced by the country’s State Committee of Statistics and published by ProIT, the overwhelming majority (almost 3.62 million) were home users, the figure being 4.9% more than in the same period last year.
The total number of cable subscribers in the year rose by 164,400.
Separately, Volia, the market leader, has announced that it has increased the total number of digital TV channels available to its subscribers in Cherkassy and the capital, Kiev.
It already offers over 150 channels to viewers in eight cities.
