The Czech Radio and TV Council (RRTV) have awarded a 12-year satellite broadcasting licence to the new Polish music channel Stars.TV.
As a result, the channel will be able to distribute its signal throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Stars.TV is owned by the TV, sound and film production/post-production company JBD SA and targets viewers aged 25-55 with music from the 60s to the present day.
Launched late last month, it has until now been operating on a trial basis, employing Hot Bird at 13 degrees East.
Stars.TV will be on air for 24 hours daily and broadcast mostly in Polish.
