Sky Deutschland has taken the number of HD subscribers past the 2 million mark for the first time.
An increase of 47% saw the product reach 2.055 million as of September 30, 2012. The number of Sky premium HD customers increased year on year by 63 percent to 1,337,000, 41% of the base.
The demand for Sky+ rose year on year by 240% to 730,000 customers, this is a tripling of customers since the same time last year, and will be further buoyed by a new 2 TB product due before Christmas.
Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland, said “This quarter has again seen very good financial and operational results have been achieved are very encouraging. By crossing the 2 million mark in Sky World HD subscribers, we have reached an important milestone.”

Sky Go, already the leading over-the-top offer on pay-TV in Germany and Austria, reported 8.2 million customer logins.
