The Romanian public broadcaster TVR has asked the country’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA) to approve a major change to its thematic channel TVR Info.
Mediafax reports that it would involve its renaming to TVR News and allocating nearly 80% of airtime to content provided by Euronews.
TVR suspended TR Info for a period of three months in mid-August due to the station’s parlous financial position and announced a new partnership in October with Euronews.
Should TVR’s request be approved, TVR News could launch as soon as this Thursday (November 15).
