The Polish DTH platform n ended the third quarter with 991,000 subscribers, or 16% more than a year earlier.
Its monthly ARPU was above PLN61 (€14.8) and 12-month churn rate a healthy 12.7%. Pay-TV revenues were up by PLN34 million, or 18% year-on-year, to PLN219 million in the third quarter and PLN97 million, or 18% year-on-year, to PLN638 million in the first nine months of the year.
However, pay-TV EBITDA was down by PLN7 million year-on-year in the third quarter to a negative PLN2 million, which was similar to the first two quarters and down to higher programming costs.
Speaking in a press conference about TVN’s latest set of results, Markus Tellenbach, the company’s president, said that there were no delays in the merger between n and Cyfra+, with the transaction likely to be finalized before the end of the year.
He also said that the merger, which will create a DTH platform with 2.5 million subscribers, will not impact negatively on TVN’s results.
