Ono ended the third quarter with over 56,000 customers to its TiVo product.
This was equivalent to over 6% of the Spanish cableco’s TV customer base.
Ono launched TiVo in October 2011 and as of Q3 it was available to over 90% of its network, offering viewers a wide variety of content including over 20 HD channels, 3D functionalities and broadband connectivity.
Ono also had 678,000 customers, or 48% of its total broadband base, receiving ultra-fast internet as of the end of Q3.
However, it overall lost 37,000 residential services and 16,000 residential customers, falling to 4.1 million and 1.9 million respectively, in the quarter.
Ono puts this down to the worsening macroeconomic environment, a recent VAT increase, new market dynamics in the Spanish telecom sector and the structurally weaker summer season.
