KPN, Tele 2, YouCa and T-Mobile have failed to turn back a decision by regulator OPTA.
The telecoms authority has denied third party access to the country’s largest cable operators, Ziggo and UPC, as there is already enough competition in the TV market.
The four parties were looking to get access to the analogue and digital TV products of the cable operators in order to offer a better triple play product.
Following an earlier OPTA ruling, the four companies were looking to overturn this decision by going to the Company Court.
However, the court decided to confirm OPTA’s ruling. No further appeal is possible.
